I’m Maureen (usually online as elvenjaneite or twigofwillow). I’m in my mid-30s and live in the US Midwest, where I’ve lived for much of my life. I’m a children’s librarian.
I’m married to R. He’s also a public librarian (adult reference) and we recently bought a house. We have a large, loving, one-eyed cat named Wimsey (after Lord Peter Wimsey) and are considering backyard chickens.
I’m a practicing Eastern Orthodox Christian and do sometimes talk about religion here. However, I try to put any religious content under a cut & tag it. I also struggle with faith and the history / politics of Christianity, and am politically fairly left.
